Top Tips

It’s always good to have questions, after all buying a wedding dress isn’t somethng we do everyday!
Hopefully we’ve answered most of your questions below, but if you need some help just get in touch and we’ll be pleased to help.

We advise brides to allow 9-12 months before the wedding.  This gives enough time to find your dress and have any alterations done.  However it’s never too early to say yes your perfect dress, you’ll know when the time is right for you.

Yes please – we work by appointment only to give you our undivided attention when searching for your dress, this way there are no interruptions! You are though, very welcome to give us a call to check we are in store and you can come along and have a browse.   If we have time you can try on dresses while there.  Please note though, brides that have already booked an appointment take priority.

At present we are only selling dresses off the peg as we are making changes to the way we work.

Yes, don’t panic!  We have all our dresses currently available to purchase on the day

We love to create the perfect bridal look and have a beautiful selection of veils, hairpieces, tiaras, belts etc to compliment your dress.  Even if you haven’t purchased your dress from us we’d love to help you.  You are welcome to bring your dress along if you haven’t purchased from us and well do our best to match it perfectly with your accessories.

We know you want to share this amazing time with your nearest and dearest, but we would advise you to bring 2-3 guests who’s opinion you value the most,  as it can get very confusing with everyone having their own taste.   It’s your opinion that matters, listen to your heart after all it’s your day!  We are only a small boutique and unfortunatley we cannot accomodate small children anymore.  If you can find childcare you can enjoy your time with us and not worry about the small people.

We want you to be completely comfortable at your appointment.  It is advisable to wear a strapless bra and bring along a hair clip to put your hair up as some dresses have beautiful back detail.  If you have shoes with the type of heel you’ll wear on the day bring those along too.

We do ask that you do not wear fake tan or too much make-up to ensure that our dresses are kept as beautiful as possible for all our brides.

We do not offer an in-house alteration service, but do have a list of experienced seamstresses that we recommend. The seamstresses all work independently and will charge accordingly after your first consultation.

We do advise booking your alternations appointment early especially if your wedding is during the peak wedding season.

We do allow photographs, but please remember the lighting in store isn’t as good as it will be on the day. You cannot see the finer detail in pics.  We usually say to brides, if it’s definate no, then don’t take a photo as you might focus on what you don’t like rather than the ones you love.   Once you’ve narrowed down you choices just take photo’s of those dresses not every one you’ve tried on!
